Bb Tenor horn

A trumpet shaped tenor horn tuned in Bb. It is hold as a trumpet, and is therefore very light in construction, it weights only 1,1 kg. The instrument type is constructed for marching orchestras, often called Bass Trumpet. The type is common around 1890, after the 1910's new instruments are only rarely seen. This instrument was used by different fire brigade orchestras in Souhtern Jutland (Denmark), the valves shows some wear, but thanks to new cast bearings it can play.
