Restoring an organ pipe
This lead organ pipe had several dents. It also needed a new paint.

A well fitting iron ball is inserted on a rod. It works as support when smoothing
the dents and dings. Lead is very plastic working with, using a hammer wont work.
The dings are rubbed over with the handle of the hammer, thus the hammer was used
after all. Having the pipe done, it was painted; a lead surface wil never look good.
Tin surfaces are differnt.
And here they are (I had two)
