Edison Phonograph

This Edison GEM Phonograph repesents one of the earliest methods of sound recording and reproducing. The sound is stored on a wax roll, on this model able to store 2 minutes of speech or music. This one is equipped with a reproducing head, but a recording head can be used. It is driven by a spring/clockwork, all dating from the time around 1900, it is one of the smallest and simplest phonographs. This phonograph has been made full functional.
